SooBahkDo

Soo Bahk DO is an ancient, traditional Korean Martial Art consisting of hand and foot techniques. Literally translated, it means "Hand Strike Way".  It is much more than kicking and punching.  It is designed as a non-violent art and includes physical and mental discipline and training with deep philosophy.  The art is renowned for its disciplined approach and emphasis on tradition and technique.
Soo Bahk Do has great potential when it comes to overall physical and mental training.  The practitioners benefit physically by developing endurance, flexibility, agility, and good coordination.  Mentally, the practitioner builds self confidence, good judgement and a sound, calm mind.
Soo Bahk Do is not a sport.  The philosophy of Soo Bahk Do puts great emphasis on respect towards fellow human beings, honesty and good moral character.  As a classic martial art, its purpose is to develop an integration of mind, body, and spirit .

Hae Dong Kum Do

Hae Dong Kum Do is the Korean Martial Art of fencing.  Our Kum Do program is open to both adults and children.  Kum Do means " the way of sword."  Kumsul (swordsmanship) is the part of Kum Do which enables one to attain proficiency in handling the sword itself.  Practitioners of Kum Do gain self confidence, improved concentration, a strong body, and the ability to defend themselves.  The techniques learned in Hae Dong Kum Do can be applied to self defense using such items as a can, a stick or even a rolled newspaper effectively.  Another part of Kum Do is harnessing mental power.  By pouring mental power into everyday practice, one's speech, manner, and personality will become noble.  This will eventually make one a complete human being - in body and soul.
